Aortic Valve & Root Replacement with Coronary Reimplantation
Diagram shows technique of aortic root and valve replacement along with conronary reimplantation. We have perfected this procedure for ascending aortic aneurysm with aortic valve incompetence. Results are excellent. Dacron tube is used to replace the aorta and a metal valve is used to replace the aortic valve. Coronary arteries may be implanted directly on dacron conduit or a separate 8 mm graft is used to join them to aortic grraft.
